Sure, it took a little longer than usual, but we have a first-half winner nonetheless! On a hot 90-degree day that featured play on the dreaded back-9, there turned out to be simply no challenge at all for Quail Creek.
Quail Creek won 3 of 4 matches over Heyl Farms to capture the First Half Champions title. The strong performance also earned them 8 points to start the second half in a tie for first place in Coot’s standings.
CONGRATULATIONS QUAIL CREEK!
A few guys had some good personal nights as well. Herb Golterman & Dave Hart (both on C.E.S.) earned closest-to-the-pin honors on the night. Meanwhile, John Westrich carded the low-net-score of the night (30) after he shot a solid 38.
There was also activity on the Milestone Watch. Herb Golterman inched a bit closer to joining the 100 Win Club by getting #99. But, Dennis Bowers did get #100 – welcome to the club!
CONGRATULATIONS DENNIS BOWERS!
