Lil’ Management Issues – Week 8 Recap

It’s been a rainy season so far but Week 8 featured 82 degree temps and partly cloudy skies and play on the Meramec…wait…the Prairies. Just lil’ management issues. But that didn’t stop the fun of another night of Coot golf!

Nor did it stop C.E.S. from getting 8 points on the night, extending the lead in basically a 2-horse race with HAEGELE NURSERY. That sets up the match of the week for Week 10, featuring HAEGELE NURSERY against PAUL THE PAINTER, who will be trying to sweep their way to the top.

What a night it was for CHRIS COLLINS who had a rare Coot Trifecta: both closet to prizes and a skin!

Another rarity: only 2 sub-40 score! The low scratch score was CORY NEWMAN (38) and the low net score was ROLAND LAURY (45/31).

It was a big night on the Milestone Watch too! JOHN PERLONGO got #100, becoming the 60th Cooter to do so.

Meanwhile, CHRIS TUREK got #250, becoming just the 3rd Cooter ever to achieve the milestone. Win #250 came almost exactly 7 years to the date (5/23/24) of win #200 (5/25/17). JEFF POHRER, as he’s known to do, established the 250 Victory Club in 2016 and BRUCE THOMAS joined him in 2020.
