It was a warm 88 degrees and breezy on the Woodlands “Wetlands” for Week 7.
That led to a lot of movement in the standings for the second round of golf played this week. In fact, we need a little bit of oil for the top 3 teams with Team #2 (TC & CO.) and Team #10 (JOEY B’S) tied for first with 34 points and Team #6 (K.G. ELECTRIC, INC.) just a half-point behind with 33.5. Half the league is within 10 points of the top spot, through 5 weeks of league play.
That sets up nicely for the feature match of the week for next Thursday when TC & CO. will take on K.G. ELECTRIC, INC.!
The closest to awards went to CHRIS COLLINS and JOHN COOPER. Speaking of JOHN COOPER, he got win #195 to put himself on the Milestone Watch (with 2 of his teammates); RUSS KLEVORN got #95, also to be added to The Watch.
Four different golfers had a 38, good for the low scratch score of the night: MATT GARDNER, BLAKE DANGOS, JASON GILLICK, & NICK KAUSCH. There were no low net scores to list.
The Good…The Bad…The Ugly…
Good: JOHN GREFFET JR’s Eagle on #7
Bad: Slow greens
Ugly: Still lookin’ for white stakes
“Let’s take a break for a week.”
