Mid-80s with overcast skies and low humidity greeted the Coot Brown Golf League on the Woodlands for Week 18. Some teams got a lot of points and some teams didn’t get so many, but after Week 18, Coot’s Cubbies, PAUL THE PAINTER, is in First Place!
There are 5 teams within 5 points of First Place, and 4 more teams within 8 points. That’s 9 teams fighting for top spot with only 2 more weeks before the Second Half Position Round.
Then there’s HEYL FARMS with another -0- points looking to solidify their stronghold in the basement.
CORY NEWMAN had the low scratch score of the night at 34; the closet Cooter to him was a 38, and there were 6 scores of 38 on the night. The low net score of the night was GARY SEYMOUR with a net-25.
As the sun sets on week 18, the thunder rolls, and so did the skins with 7 holes tied with birdies and 2 out of the 3 par 3’s did not see a birdie!
CASEY JONES and JEFF LAURY had the closest to winners on the night. TONY SMITH had the “Joey B’s Extra” closet to…and he is the only one that had the pleasure of scratching out the name in front of him on the card (Scratch).
