A Lot To Cover This Week – Week 6 Recap

Sunny. 70 degrees. On the Meramec. Another “San Diego” night…and we have a lot to cover this week!

The defending champs, TC & CO., got all 10 and solidified the top spot, pulling away after kicking METRO ELECTRIC all the way down to 9th Place.

That leaves us with the Match of the Week for Week 7 featuring K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. against HEYL FARMS – both tied for third and just 10 points out of First Place.

Coots guys were shooting, leading to the lowest league-wide stroke average on the 40th season (43.9) – a notch off the league record (42.5). There were 6 sub-40 rounds and 3 others at 40!

The low scratch score on the night was 36, carded by 3 guys: JASON GILLICK, JOHN COOPER, and TIM GARDNER.

Speaking of JOHN COOPER, it was a big night for him. Not only did he have the low net score (29) on top of his low scratch score, but he also got his 4th straight victory on the season, his 200th career victory! He’s now the 15th player to achieve the bicentennial victory.

RAY GILLICK had one of the closest to prizes. The other one went to CHRIS POHRER, who was about 10 inches away from an ace on #3!

On top of all that, there were 4 skins on the night, led by an eagle on #7 by MIKE MARCHI and TIM GARDNER nabbing 2 of them (even while bullying Uncle Doung).

JOHNY MEYER had another “tuff” week though.

“Start another streak, Tock!”
