Very Little Movement In The Standings – Week 5 Recap

A cool 68 degrees with a little breeze and lots of sunshine on the Woodlands. Week 5 also featured cart path only, damp conditions.

Maybe that’s why there was very little movement int he standings, leaving JOEY B’S on top.

There were 6 skins on the night! The standout skin was an eagle on #9 by ADAM LAURY. MARK LANFERSIECK had a closest to winner while GARY SCHMIDT had the other for the second week in a row. The Joey B’s gift card giveaway on #8 went to JEFF POHRER.

The low scratch score of the night was 34 by ALEX DAVIS. The low net was 28 by PAUL HILLYARD (45).

RICK BRENNAN is on the watchlist now, and with 5 weeks of scoring in the books, the early leaders for Coot’s annual awards are also on the watchlist. CHRIS TOCKSTEIN is already on the hunt to be the first Cooter to win both the Sandbagger and Best Record awards! On the flip side, JOHNY MEYER somehow has 4 losses through the first 5 weeks of play.

FYI – Coot @ the Lake dates confirmation:

  • Dennis Bowers “Open” – Thursday, August 6th
  • Coot Brown – Friday, August 7th & Saturday, August 8th – Both @ Osage National, 1:30 shotgun

“It’s going quick!”
