From Top To Bottom – Week 11 Review

It’s a new half and a new story!  A rain-free week featured some PERFECT weather: 75º, nice breeze, and virtually no humidity.  But, the dreaded back 9 was the site for the second half to get started.

That proved to be more than the first half champs could handle.  The top two teams from the first 10 weeks, Metro Electric & Southside Machine managed only 2 and 2.5 points respectively and find themselves in the 11th and 12th spots in the league standings.

While a whopping 14 golfers turned in scores of 50 or more, a couple guys did have a good night.  Gary Williams had the low-net-score of the night with a 30. Dave Schweitzer and Jeff Hansen had the low-scratch-score of, each with 38.  Jeff also won one of the skins on #10 while Jim Jost III and Marty Yanics got the other skins on #14 and #18.

But with great weather and lots of energy from the start of the new half, the greatest accomplishment on the night may have been the drive home from the 19th hole!

David Schuster continues his hold on the “Best Record” weekly honor with his perfect 5-0-2  (1.000) record.  Meanwhile, we still have 9 guys who have the league’s “Most Improved” handicap of -2.  They are: Elliot Kite, Norm Friedmeyer, Matt Gagnepain, Jim Roesch, Jeff Laury, Jim Pleimann, Rob Gaylord, Juggie Hinduja, and Rob Twitchell.

Rick Brennan and Joe Turek Jr. each nabbed closest-to-the-pin honors.

THE GOOD THE BAD THE UGLY
Weather Birdie Money
Another rain-free week – Quail is in great shape! Marty Yanics‘s birdie on 18 helped him lose by only 2! Kevin spent Marty’s skin money…

On the Milestone Watch, John Cooper got #99 and is just one win away from the 100-Win Club!

The feature match-up of Week 12 will be a cellar-dweller battle as Metro Electric and Southside Machine try to avoid the bottom spot.
