THE HEAT IS ON! – Week 14 Review

The temperature is on the rise and so is the action in Coot’s standings.  After a rain-shortened Week 13, Coot’s guys were greeted with mid-90-degree temperatures and HIGH humidity for the front nine at Quail.

Al Keller & Garry Byrd each had the low-scratch-score of the night with their one-over-par-37.  Garry also had the low-net-score of the night (28).  Three others had a 29.

The big accomplishment of the night, though, was Kevin Oliver’s 100th career victory!  Welcome to the 100-win club, Kevin!

CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN!

Tim Jost knocked off his brother, Matt Jost, in the Match Play Challenge.  We are only two weeks away from crowning all Match Play Challenge champions!

The standings are close – only 11.5 points separate the top team (K.G. Electric, Inc.) and the bottom team (Metro Electric) with 5weeks to play! Just the hot & humid weather was bad…all else was all good! Next week marks the ¾ point of the 25th season…going too fast!

Bruce Thomas & Al Keller each grabbed a portion of the carryover skins pot worth $380!

This week’s BEST RECORD honor goes to: Matt Gagnepain for his 9-1-0 (.900) record.  Matt also holds on to the MOST IMPROVED honor this week, having improved his handicap by three strokes (-3) so far this year.

Next week’s feature matchup of the week will be between Teams #4 & #11 (Mead Electric & AALCO MFG.).  AALCO MFG. is in 3rd place and Mead Electric in 4th place with only one point between them and just a few points out of first place!
