Another week, another H-O-T day of golf. For the third week in a row, temperatures surpassed 100 degrees and thick, humid air greeted Coot’s guys…oh yea, and the back-9!
But, nothing was quite as hot as Joe Sonderman‘s play! He achieved an eagle on #11 en route to his even-par-36 round during week 14. Did you say he’s ready for the Lake?
And then there was the rest of the league…
Twelve golfers had scores of 50 & over as Coot’s guys succumbed to the challenges of the back-9.
Bob Twitchell, though, earned the low-net-score of the week with his net-30. Mead Electric only managed two points for the night but still holds first place spot by just 3.5 points. All but teams, but one (Heyl Farms), are within 10 points of the top spot – still anyone’s half!
THE GOOD – “Say it ain’t so, Joe!”
THE BAD – Pairings for the Lake.
THE UGLY – B.S. is flying at the 19th hole, thanks to the aforementioned pairings for the Lake!
There was no action on the Milestone Watch while Herb Golterman & Al Keller earned closest-to-the-pin honors.
Feature match-up of the week for Week 15 is Team #2 (The Turek Brothers) vs. Team #8 (G & G Snow Plow). Another 10 points for The Turek Brothers this week could just take over the top spot!
