It was warm, about 95-degrees; play was on the front 9, Coot’s favorite; play didn’t mean anything for the standings, Mead Electric already wrapped up the second-half title; but it sure was a dart game!
Two different golfers turned in even-par scores of 36: George Ermold and Jeff Laury (Jeff also had the low-net-score of the night at 29). Each guy had eagles on #7 & #10 and a share of the “Big Pot” skins – $385.
The other skin went to Dave Hart for #3.
The battle for 2nd/3rd place money for second-half will go to Southside Machine (Team #3) who finished in 2nd and C.E.S. (Team #10) who took 3rd place.
But the stage is set for the feature match-up of the season. First-half winners, Quail Creek (Team #6), will take on second-half winners, Mead Electric (Team #4), for the 2012 Championship Title. Each team is looking for their second spot on Coot’s trophy.
THE GOOD – Mead Electric looking for their first league championship since 2005
THE BAD – Quail Creek look for their first league championship since 2009
THE UGLY – Team #12 (Paul Da Painter) still looking…
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Jeff Pohrer and Tom Heyl.
There was no action on the Milestone Watch during Week 19. Tim Sargent (1 win away) and Marty Yanics (4 wins away) will have to wait for 2013 to earn career-victory #100.
