Threatening Skies & Threatening Standings – Week 5 Recap

2014-week-5-bob-haegeleWe’re a quarter of the way through the 2014 season and there’s a team that just won’t go away!  Week 5 featured a cloudy, threatening sky and 85-degree temps.  But, the true highlight was another dominating week by HEYL FARMS.

After going 3-1-0 on the night, HEYL FARMS extended their hold on the top spot of the standings to four points (34 total points) over JOEY B’S & THE BEAN HOUSE (tied with 30 total points).  The Farmers are looking like they are primed to take down the first-half title!

Meanwhile, there was a lot of shuffling in spots 2-8 but no movement in the bottom four spots.  At this point, those teams are eyeing a second-half run.

The low-score of the night was turned in by DAVE “SMASH BURGER” SCHWEITZER (37).  TIM JOST posted a 28 (46) as the low-net-score of the night.  Tim is also leading the league honor for Best Record at 4-0-0 (1.000).  The closest-to-the-pin honors went to DAVE HARTE & GARRY BYRD.

Since we’ve past a quarter-post in the season, the League Rankings & Player Career Records have been updated.  Can you believe it…not only is BRUCE THOMAS no longer #1, but, he’s not even #2 anymore!
