Perfect weather – 80-degrees & dry with no humidity! A perfect set up for a night made for the stats junkies!
On the night, ten different Cooters shot sub-40 rounds of golf. Three of those guys (BRUCE THOMAS, JOHN GREFFET, JOE SONDERMAN) shot a 1-under-par-35. Another guy, RICK BRENNAN, shot even-par-36!
Of those 14 golfers who shot lights-out on the night, three of them lost their match: BRUCE THOMAS, JIM ROESCH, MIKE WAMSER.
Here’s a run-down of some of the best rounds carded on the night:
- JOE SONDERMAN – 35
- BRUCE THOMAS – 35
- JOHN GREFFET – 35 (28)
- RICK BRENNAN – 36 (28)
- DAVE SCHUSTER – 37
- RUSS KLEVORN – 37

- MIKE WAMSER – 38 (29)
- JIM JOST III – 38

JOE SONDERMAN & JOHN GREFFET each earned a closest-to-the-pin honor on the night. Meanwhile, CHRIS TOCKSTEIN earned a sport on the Milestone Watch (the only activity of the night) with career victory #145.
Continuing on…two teams swept their opponents and took all 10 points:
- C.E.S. – remains in first place with 34 points
- JOEY B’S – moves up one spot to second place with 30 points
The standings are looking competitive as we reach the 15th week; but, only 2 teams are in striking distance of the top sport with a sweep next week (JOEY B’S & THE BEAN HOUSE).
OH! And don’t forget one for the record books: the foursome of JEFF LAURY, JOHN WESTRICH, BRUCE THOMAS & RUSS KLEVORN all 1-putted for a birdie-4 on #9!
