An Ideal Day of Golf – Week 3 Recap

beautiful-weather-golf-ballAfter a Week 1 delayed start due to rain, Coot’s guys have been nothing but blessed with awesome weather through three weeks!

The weather has provided a perfect stage for…well…nearly NO action in the standings!  Most teams split their matches on the night so the little bit of movement that did happen was pretty minor.

The good news is, though, all 12 teams are within 10 points of the top spot in the standings!  That should make for some F-U-N the rest of the first half.

After two weeks of lights-out golfing on the front-9, it seems like the back-9 showed up to make everyone humble again.  Scores were a little up on Week 3 with a league average of 48.3, one of the highest in league history.

Only one golfer carded a sub-40 round on the night – JIM JOST III with his scratch-39 (net-30); and the best net-score of the night was turned in by STEVE TUREK (29, scratch-41).

Here’s The Good, The Bad & The Ugly:

  • THE GOOD: Greens!
  • THE BAD: Fast Greens!
  • THE UGLY: Tee Blocks!

Closest-to-the-pin honors were nabbed by JOHN DAVIS and RON SCHMITT.  Meanwhile, on the Milestone Watch, MATT GAGNEPAIN got #148, CHRIS TOCKSTEIN got #147 and STEVE MINIEX got #98.

Feature Match of the Week for Week 4: C.E.S. vs. HAEGELE NURSERY HAEGELE NURSERY is just 10 points from the top spot!
