It Was A Wet One – Week 5 Recap

Rain-GolfRain all morning on Thursday, May 14th, made for very wet conditions and cart path only on the front-nine.  This was the first real week of weather conditions being sub-par for Coot’s guys.

But that didn’t stop C.E.S. who was able to hold onto the top spot in the standings for the fifth consecutive week.  Their lead is now 5.5. points over second place K.G. ELECTRIC, INC.!

Speaking of K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. – it was great to see BRUCE THOMAS back and turning in the low score of the night with his 36.

It was all Gardners with the low-net-score of the night: KEVIN GARDNER and GARY GARDNER each shot a 43 for a net of 30!

It was more of the same on the Milestone Watch for the night: nothing happened…as we’ve finished the first quarter of the 2015 season, the Player Records page has been updated with the latest stats for the whole league.

Additionally, the League Rankings have been updated, through Week 5.

Here’s The Good, The Bad & The Ugly:

  • THE GOOD: C.E.S. on a roll
  • THE BAD: 5 weeks left till the half
  • THE UGLY: The Feature Match of the Week for Week 6 pits PAUL THE PAINTER vs. C.E.S. – PTP could take over first place…or end up in last place…

Closest-to-the-pin honors were nabbed by the aforementioned MARK BALVEN and HERB GOLTERMAN.

NOTE: Lake Tourney & Night at the Races flyers will be out soon!

COOT SAYS: “Finish up your 2nd Round matches for the Match Play Challenge soon!”
