An Extended Lead & Another To Hit #150 – Week 14 Recap

paul-hillyardIt was a GORGEOUS night on the front 9 for Week 14 as spirits are already starting to fly high in anticipation of the upcoming Lake Tourney.  But, the real focus is the second half that only has a few weeks left in it and all the ground some of Coot’s teams need to make up.

G & G SNOW PLOW extended their lead to 4.5 points over the new tenant of second place – HEYL FARMS.  But, it still appears to be a 4-team race for the second half title between: G & G SNOW PLOW, HEYL FARMS, SOUTHSIDE MACHINE & C.E.S. – all the teams that occupied the top 4 spots in the standings at the end of 2014!

Overall, it was a good night of shooting for Coot’s guys as several carded some low scores.  The low round of the night was carded by TIM CARBERY with his 37.

Low-net-scores were carded by: CRAIG MORRIS (28/42), ROB GAYLORD (20/41), RAY GILLICK (30/43) & TIM SARGENT (30/45).

In fact, this was one of the most active nights on the Milestone Watch as well!  Five different golfers who were on The Watch earned a victory on the night to get one step closer to their milestone: TOM HEYL (98), ROLAND LAURY (146), RAY GILLICK (146), ROB GAYLORD (97) & CHRIS CARUSO (148).  But, there was one guy that got his milestone victory: PAUL HILLYARD got career victory #150 on the night!

CONGRATULATIONS PAUL!

Here’s The Good, The Bad & The Ugly:

  • THE GOOD: JEFF LAURY’S bird on #4
  • THE BAD: JEFF LAURY’S SHANK IN THE SAND TRAP ON #4
  • THE UGLYJEFF LAURY’S BIRD ON #4

The closest-to-the-pin honors went to CHRIS CARUSO & BRUCE THOMAS.  All 3 weekly leaders for the year-end awards remained the same; only GARY SCHMIDT made “progress” on his award:

The feature match-up of Week 15 will be Team #2 C.E.S. against Team #3 G & G SNOW PLOW; just 6.5 points back, C.E.S. will do their best to unseed G & G SNOW PLOW!
