Champs Again: G & G Snow Plow Wins It All – Week 20 Recap

2015-G&G Snow Plow-League Champs-02For the first time in 20 years…G & G SNOW PLOW has won the Coot Brown Golf League Championship!

CONGRATULATIONS G & G SNOW PLOW!

They are just the 4th team in Coot’s history to win the championship 3 or more times.  Their first victory came in 1988 and the second just 7 years later in 1995.  But, this one had to wait 20 years.

What was life like 20 years ago when they won?

Cal Ripken Jr. broke the MLB record for most consecutive games played at 2,131.  The Atlanta Braves, San Fransisco 49ers, Houston Rockets and New Jersey Devils all won their respective league championships.  Corey Pavin won the U.S. Open Golf Championship and Nebraska was tops in the NCAA football world.

The “Soup Nazi” was denying soup from Jerry Seinfeld and his friends and Newt Gingrich was Time Magazine’s Man of the Year.

Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols killed 168 people in the Oklahoma City Bombing and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened in Cleveland, OH.  Match.com debuted for those looking for love and the original Toy Story was the year’s biggest blockbuster.  Christopher Reeve was paralyzed, Hugh Grant arrested, and eBay launched.

But, enough of that…it’s time to celebrate like is 2015!  The final award winners are:
