Low Scores All Around – Week 3 Recap

2016-Quail-Creek-Hole-6-Sand-Bunker

A look at the sand trap on hole #6 at Quail Creek on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

What a perfect night for golf!

It was sunny.  It was 70 degrees.  It was breezy.  Coot’s guys couldn’t ask for more as the early-season nice weather continues for the 30th edition of the league.

The nice weather probably played a role in the low-scoring excellence that we saw throughout the league on the 3rd week.

There were 5 sub-40 scores turned in and 2 others who turned in scores right at 40.  The low-net-score of the night was carded by TYLER SOLLBERGER with his 28 (38).

However, it looks like the back-9 is on deck for next week…

For the second week in a row, the top 2 teams in the standings were matched head-to-head; and for the second week in a row, 1 of those teams was K.G. ELECTRIC, INC.

KG’s guys took on JOEY B’S and grabbed 7.5 points, leaving only 2.5 points for their competitors.  This puts K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. in first place by 6.5 points over THE TUREK BROTHERS.

And, you guessed it – for the third straight week, the feature match of the week will be a battle for the top spot in the standings as it will feature K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. vs. THE TUREK BROTHERS!

There was no action on the Milestone Watch but ED WILLIAMS and DAVE SCHUSTER each earned closest-to-the-pin honors.  Also, we’d like to take a moment and welcome Coot’s newest member, BILL CRUZ, who will be a sub this season: WELCOME BILL!

“Kudos to Chef Brian!”
