WHAT A DAY!
In a season that has been dominated by weather-caused schedule changes, Coot’s guys were greeted at Tapawingo National by 75-degrees, low humidity, and lots of sunshine.
That meant the stage was set for some great shooting!
BRUCE THOMAS (34) had the low round on the night while JOHN PERLONGO (27/40) carded the low-net-score of the evening. BRUCE THOMAS and STEVE MINIEX nabbed the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night.
The great scoring contributed to a couple of moves on the Milestone Watch. ED WILLIAMS got career victory #148. But…the real story was the latest addition to the 200 Win Club…CHRIS TUREK became just the 3rd player in Coot history to achieve the milestone, joining JEFF POHRER & BRUCE THOMAS.
CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS!
ADDED 5/30/17: Another personal milestone on the night…JUGGIE HINDUJA got his first victory since July 10, 2014…nearly 3 full years!
There was little change on the standings board. First place K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. managed only 5 points but still have a 5.5-point lead over C.E.S. in second place.
But, we may be in store for some changes as we near the end of the first half; next week’s feature match up of the week is actually 2 matches:
- K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. (1st place) vs. JOEY B’S (3rd place)
- C.E.S. (2nd place) vs. KENRICK’S MEATS (4th place)
So…stay tuned for sure!
Here’s The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly from Week 7:
- THE GOOD: As in…the greens are getting in shape (softer)
- THE BAD: As in…PAUL THE PAINTER is now OUT of the cellar (for now)
- THE UGLY: As in…SOUTHSIDE MACHINE is now IN the cellar (for now)
“LAKE TOURNEY APPS WILL BE OUT NEXT WEEK!”
