Sunny On The Prairie – Week 5 Recap

90 degrees and sunny – a beautiful night for golf on the Prairie course at Tapawingo National…and there was a lot of action!

First Place C.E.S. (Team 4) stayed in first place by getting all 10 points, adding separation between them and the rest of the field.  Just 2 weeks ago, 9 teams were within 2 points of first place; now only 4 teams are within 10 points of the top spot.

Great shootin’ by GARY PADBERG with the low-net-score on the night with his 26 (48).  RICK BRENNAN got career victory #97 to inch a win closer on the Milestone Watch.

But, the big individual story of the night was JOE SONDERMAN & NICK KAUSCH.  With the carryover pot sitting at $400, JOE birdied #4 and NICK birdied #8 to each take home $200.  JOE also got one of the closest-to-the-pin wins on the night while CHRIS TUREK got the other.

With 5 weeks of play under our belts, we’ll start updating the annual awards each week.  Here are the results for the first time this year:

Here’s a look at The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly from Week 5:

  • THE GOOD: Playin’ the Whites in the first half.
  • THE BAD: Oncomin’ traffic on #9.
  • THE UGLY: ELLIOT KITE‘s confrontation with oncomin’ traffic on #9.

DON’T FORGET – Week 6 will take place on WEDNESDAY, May 16th (not Thursday).

“WE AL NEED TO BE MORE AWARE OF PAYING THE CART FEES FOR THE NIGHT; INCLUDING EXTRA PLAY AND EXTRA GOLFERS.  HELP EACH OTHER NOT TO FORGET WHEN SHOWING UP TO PLAY.”
