After a 5 day rain delay, Coot’s guys gathered on The Meramec course to make Week 16 happen. After a mostly-rainy Tuesday, the skies cleared up and temps were in the upper-70s; Week 16 turned out to be a great day!
DOUG WERNER got his first victory of the year and got himself a co-leader for the “Sey Tuff Guy” award in DAVE COOPER. After finishing up his round with 3 birdies and the low scratch score of the night (35), KEVIN TYLER earned a spot on the short list for the Best Record award with his 6-1-3 (.857) record. Also on that list, tied with a winning percentage of .857, are DAN BERSETT and RYAN VAN DILLEN.
JOE TUREK JR. (29/40) had the low net score on the night. Meanwhile, GREG GAWRYS and RICK BRENNAN got the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night.
In the standings, K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. pole vaulted into third place by getting all 10 points. SOUTHSIDE MACHINE picked up 8 points over first place JOEY B’S to take over the top spot in the standings and to get serious about taking the titles from both halves.
- THE GOOD: Yup! Another Coot affair tomorrow night!
- THE BAD: “Ass” – GREG GAWRYS #7 birdies both par 3s along with his closest-to on #3.
- THE UGLY: “30 Days in the Hole” (by Humble Pie) – just 30 days left in the season.
“LAST MAJOR CONTEST WILL BE ON TUESDAY BEFORE LAKE WEEKEND.”
