Lightning In The Air – Week 17 Recap

90 degrees…clear day…then…lightning in the air.

With just one day’s rest from Tuesday’s Week 16 makeup round, Coot’s guys had to deal with more threats from the weather.  The siren blew and a 45-minute delay followed, allowing the guys to get caught up on their liquids.  Despite that delay and the light-show in the sky, the Prairie course stayed dry on the night.

Speaking of The Prairies…they were just as threatening.  There were only 4 sub-40 rounds carded on the night (JOHN GREFFET, JIM JOST III, LARRY MOELLERING, and DAVE SCHWEITZER).  Just a week back from the green lilies of Ireland, the “Old German”, DAVE SCHWEITZER, took the low round honors with his 36.  GARY SCHMIDT too the low net honor (28/40) and also earned a spot on the Milestone Watch with his 145th career victory.

CHRIS TUREK and JOHN GREFFET brought home the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night and DOUG WERNER lost…again (record for most losses in a season is 12…so you’re saying there’s a chance…).

With the 2018 season quickly nearing the end, here’s to hoping everyone can get back into late-season form for next TUESDAY on the Woodlands.  Meanwhile, here’s The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly from Week 17:

  • THE GOOD: Beverage Cart Gal?
  • THE BAD: Beverage Cart Gal?
  • THE UGLY: NOT the Beverage Cart Gal.

Next week is going to be busy with golf on Tuesday (Week 18), Thursday practice round at the Lake, Friday the Shootout, Saturday/Sunday the Lake Tourney.  Oh…and don’t forget…the PGA is in town.

“CARRYOVER ON SKINS FOR TUESDAY: $200+!”
