Finally, a Primo Night – Week 6 Recap

While it was still soggy, it turned out to be a pretty primo night with 88-degree temps and a slight breeze…FINALLY.

But, the soggy conditions took their toll on Coot’s guys as most struggled. In fact, it was the highest overall stroke average in recent history at 46.6 with just a few sub-40 scores.

Leading the way was “Smokin'” GEORGE ERMOLD who carded both the low scratch score (38) and the low net score (31). All of that despite that he literally swang the sole out of his shoes…perhaps his 2-over score would indicate the should go shoeless more often?

“The funny thing is that it prob helped me swing as I only shot a 2 over 38.”

GARY SCHMIDT got #148 and BRUCE THOMAS and MATT GAGNEPAIN got the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night. Now that we have 5 weeks of play under our belts, we’ll be updating the year-end awards on a regular basis. Here are the first set of leaders:

From the team perspective, not even an illegal hand pass will slow SOUTHSIDE MACHINE down. The gear heads got another 7 points on the night to stay on top with a 4.5-point lead over HAEGELE NURSERY.

When is that train going to slow down?!? Maybe this week when they take on the third place team, THE TUREK BROTHERS, in the feature match up of the week.

It sure was good to see GARY SEYMOUR back on the course after a 2 year absence!

REMINDER: it’s a Coot doubleheader this week with the Week 3 makeup happening on Tuesday, May 21st and Week 7 on Thursday, May 23.

“THANKS FOR THE COOT GLASSES, DAVE!”
