Hot, humid, stormy, 95 degrees. Week 14 was ditto to Week 13 on the Woodlands. The new tee locations are still impacting scores but, there are some forces that can’t be stopped in 2019.
GILLICK BRICKWORK stopped the bleeding with a 10-point sweep over PAUL THE PAINTER; neither team can be stopped from making their way into the cellar.
JOEY B’S can’t be stopped from staying on top, now with a 6-point lead over HAEGELE NURSERY.
MIKE O’KANE can’t be stopped as he continued his pursuit of the Best Record Award with his 9th win of the season. Meanwhile, DEREK STEPHENS can’t seem to be stopped in pursuit of the Sey Tuff Guy Award after his 7th loss of the season. GARY WILLIAMS won’t be stopped from the 150 Win Club in 2019…just 2 wins away.
CHAD LARKOWSKI (3rd time) and JEFF POHRER (2nd time) earned closest-to-the-pin honors yet again.
Low scratch scores on the night were turned in by CHAD LARKOWSKI and NICK KAUSCH, each with a 34. MIKE MCMANUS (42/30) had the low net score on the night.
After 4 straight weeks of shooting a 49, DOUG WERNER improved his handicap by 6 strokes to join PAUL HILLYARD in the hunt for the Sandbagger Award.
