55 degrees and a lil breezy…a nice setting for Coot’s guys to be lil angels after last week…well, maybe more like devils in disguise…
Maybe that’s why scoring was much better for Week 2? KEVIN TYLER turned in a even-par 36 (net, 29). Other notable scores on the night included: CD LONGO, TIM GARDNER, and DAVE “SMASH BURGER” SCHWEITZER, who all scored a 38 on the night.
It was an active night on the Milestone Watch too. BOB DEGUNIA got his 95th career victory to get himself added to the watch list. DAVE COOPER, TIM SARGENT, and MIKE O’KANE all inched closer to their respective milestones. JIM ROESCH and JOE TUREK took home the closest-to-the-pin awards on the night.
On the team front, PAUL THE PAINTER (Team 3) was the only team to get 10 points on the night and it helped them jump up to within just a half-point of the early-surprise, fast-start from THE TUREK BROTHERS (Team 11).
We’re looking to get some decent weather for Week 3 with play taking place on The Woodlands track. The Match of the Week will be a return to last year’s playoff duel between JOEY B’S (Team 1) and HAEGELE NURSERY (Team 2)…don’t miss it (but don’t hang out to watch it #COVID19).
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly of Week 2:
THE GOOD: Grade A Behavior!
THE BAD: “Ass” – KEVIN TYLER.
THE UGLY: The golf shirt TIM GARDNER wore?
