A Productive Night for Dave Cooper – Week 9 Recap

A humid, 80-degree night on the Meramec Course with lots of buzz in there air about the Lake Tourney – AKA: a perfect night for Week 9! And the scoring followed suit…

There were 10 sub-40 rounds turned in on the night. The low net score was carded by GARY WILLIAMS (29/40) and the low scratch by DAVE “SMASH” SCHWEITZER (34). And, for probably the first time in Coot history, all 4 golfers in a foursome shot under 40: DAVE COOPER (39, W), JOHN COOPER (38, T), BRAD GARLICH (37, L), and DAVE SCHWEITZER (34, T).

Speaking of DAVE COOPER…he had a big night…you’ll need a minute to read about everything he did on the night, in no particular order:

  • He brought home 2 skins
  • Grabbed one of the closest-to‘s (DAVE SCHWEITZER had the other)
  • And, with his win on the night, he became the 23rd member of the 150 WIN CLUB!

CONGRATULATIONS DAVE!

HAEGELE NURSERY maintained control of the top spot of the standings with just a 4-point lead over THE TUREK BROTHERS.

Through 9 weeks, there’s little separation in the standings with 6 different teams within 10 points of each other.

The feature match of the week for the final week of scoring in the first half will be HAEGELE NURSERY (Team 2) taking on METRO ELECTRIC (Team 6) with METRO looking to rebound.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY…

THE GOOD: …Samaritan…LARRY MOELLERING saving DENNIS BOWERS from getting wet
THE BAD: a 1099 getting sent to DAVE SCHWEITZER
THE UGLY: CHAD LARKOWSKI‘S last 3 holes

“One more week of scoring before Position Round!”
