The Difficult Woodlands – Week 13 Recap

It was hot. It was humid. It was Coot in July. Oh…and it was on the Woodlands Course.

After 2 weeks of scoring in the second half, 10 teams are withing first place (7 points apart). GILLICK BRICKWORK took over the top spot from JOEY B’S by just a half-point.

That sets up the match of the week for Week 14 between GILLICK BRICKWORK and the 4th-place K.G. ELECTRIC, INC.

Scores were on the high side, thanks to the difficult Woodlands course. But, there were still some good scores.

DAVE “SMASH” SCHWEITZER had the low scratch score of the night (36) and BOBBY “BIG ONIONS” DEGUNIA had the low net score (39/31).

BOB DEGUNIA was also one of two guys to get a win closer to their Milestone Club; BRAD GARLICH was the other. GREG GILLICK got #195 to earn himself a spot on the watch list.

TIM CARBERY and CHRIS TUREK brought home the closest-to prizes on the night and there wasn’t much change on the weekly tracking of the end of season awards.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY…

THE GOOD: eagle on #7…thanks KEVIN TYLER
THE BAD: “ASS”…the Red, White, & Blue…thanks Lynyrd Skynyrd
THE UGLY: no break in the heat for the next 10 days…thanks July

Happy Independence Day!

It was good to see JOHN DAVIS back on the course and the Coot debut of his son, TYLER DAVIS who whipped up on JOHN GREFFET. Also, back from the IR…ERIC POHRER!
