A Milestone Night – Week 9 Recap

After having Week 8 rained out, causing a change in the schedule for the first time in 2021, Coot’s guys were happy to be back at Tapawingo for Week 9 action. The weather was perfect with a little breeze and 80-degree temps…but, The Prairie track was on the schedule.

That didn’t slow down top dog HAEGELE NURSERY for the 5th week in a row. BOB HAEGELE, on his first time out for the season, had a career round. He shot the low scratch score of the night with his 1-under-par-35, which was also good for the low net score of the night (25). He carded 2 birdies and just 1 bogey…WOW! All of that led to HAEGELE NURSERY bringing home 8 points on the night to maintain their grip on the top spot.

Honorable mentions for the low net score go to GREG GILLICK (38/28) and JIM PLEIMANN (46/28). TONY JOST and JOHN GREFFET grabbed the closest-to-the-pin honors of the night. Meanwhile, KYLE RICKERMANN recovered from his cooter-filled night on Week 7 to bring home one of the skins on the evening (don’t worry though…he still earned a cooter on Week 9).

KYLE RICKERMANN…obvi

Speaking of GREG GILLICK, he got the W on the night and become just the 4th golfer in the 35-year history of the Coot Brown Golf League to join the 200 Win Club. TIM JOST joined the Milestone Watch as well.

CONGRATULATIONS GREG!

With just two rounds of scoring left in the First Half before the Position Round, it’s becoming a 2-horse race. That leads us to the Match of the Week for Monday (rescheduled Week 8) between KENRICK’S MEATS (second place) and TC & CO. (third place).

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: To see BOB HAEGELE back playing
THE BAD: BOBBIE
THE UGLY: Who gets to play him next…
