92 degrees with hazy skies due to the wild fires out west set the stage for a flip flop of the standings!
The top 4 teams got a total of 8 points on the night with HAEGELE NURSERY (Team 2) taking all 10 points from KENRICK’S MEATS (Team 11). This puts all other teams within striking distance going down the stretch of the Second Half. Specifically, there are 10 teams within 10 points of the top spot.
There was a lot of action on the individual front. DOUG WERNER got a Coot Daily double (skin and a closest to) and DAVE HARTE got the other closest to.
Coot first-timer, MARIO BOCCARDI had the low scratch score (34) and ended the night as the top-ranked golfer in the league.
The low net score was carded by KG (27/40)…another “first timer” as he wasted no time moving on up…to the senior tees!
The top story on the individual front, though, was JOE TUREK JR. getting #150 (finally), to become the 26th player in the elite club.
CONGRATULATIONS JOE!
There was plenty of Lake jabbering going on throughout the night. Mostly focused on nobody thinking they should be in the Champ Flight. Well, to help you babies out…we will put you in the A Flight…and have B, C, & D Flights this year. You’re welcome. File your complaints here.
Ole Abner at it again? The match up of the week will feature the first place team, TC & CO (who has 2 of the top 3 golfers in the league) against the second place team, AALCO MFG. (who sits just a half-point behind).
THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: To see ROLAND back @ it!
THE BAD: GARRY BYRD‘s winning streak is over.
THE UGLY: MARIO tied with a 2-under (welcome to Coot).
“DRAWING FOR LAKE PAIRINGS THURSDAY!”
