New Kids On The Hunt – Week 14 Recap

It was a little breezy, slightly cloudy, nice 88-degree temps…not at all bad!

It was a perfect set up for a lot of movement in the standings, including a 10-point sweep by AALCO MFG. (Team 5) over C.E.S. (Team 1). That pole-vaulted them up into First Place, just 1.5 points over TC & CO., with the other new kids on the block, LONGO BIGGS (Team 14), another 3.5 points behind.

There was some great all around shooting on the night with 8 sub-40 rounds and 5 rounds right at 40. The low scratch score of the night was carded by NICK KAUSCH (35) and the career round by STEVE MINIEX was good for the low net score (24/42). That wasn’t quite low enough, though, to beat the league record for the low net score of 20, set by DOUG WERNER back in 2019.

Well, the match of the week was a dud…ELLIOT’S takin’ the train to Georgia. JIM JOST III earned his way onto the Milestone Watch with #95. SCOTT HETZER and MARK LANFERSIECK won the closest to prizes. GARRY BYRD finally won one.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: Skins carryover next week – $275+
THE BAD: “Tuff Guy” now 1-10
THE UGLY: NICK KAUSCH 1-under-35 and loses.

The Match of the Week for Week 15 will feature both of the “New Kids on the Block” with TC & CO. (Team 13) taking on LONGO BIGGS (Team 14).
