Not Your Typical Night – Week 19 Recap

“Strange Brew” by Cream 1967

Talk about “NOT” your typical night…it was strange all around with play happening on a Tuesday in advance of the 27th Annual Lake Ozark Golf Classic. It was h-o-t with high humidity as play started on the Prairie course. Strange was that it was 96 degrees and sunny at 1:30 and then 76 degrees and no sun at 2:30 as some storms rolled through the area.

But that didn’t stop the action from happening as Coot’s guys tackled Week 19 as the 2021 season quickly nears its end.

Two different teams, KENRICK’S MEATS (Team 11) & SOUTHSIDE MACHINE (Team 12) got all 10 points on the night, something that doesn’t happen very often for sure! There are now 3 teams within a half-point of the top spot, occupied by newbie, LONGO BIGGS (Team 14).

What made all that action happen in the standings? How about 12 under-40 scores recorded on the night?! Leading the way was NICK KAUSCH and ADAM LAURY, each shooting a 1-under 35.

Low net scores were carded by MARTY YANICS and DENNIS BOWERS, each with a net-28.

There was another eagle on the night, the third week in a row, this time by NICK KAUSCH on #9. Meanwhile, BOB DEGUNIA got both closest to prizes on the night, a feat that we’re not sure has ever happened before!

CHRIS TOCKSTEIN added himself to the Milestone Watch with #195. There are now 10 guys on the watchlist, the most since its creation. That includes 3 guys (CHRIS POHRER, DAVE HEGGER, and RON SCHMITT) hoping to join the 200 Win Club before #35 comes to an end.

Oh…and by the way…all of this happened on a TUESDAY!

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: New teams showing they deserve another year!
THE BAD: More shenanigans fines!
THE UGLY: Pullin’ KYLE RICKERMANN out of a storm drain on #4 – if we had a pic, it would be worth a lot more than a thousand words!
