A Night Full of Stats – Week 4 Recap

Apparently 65 degrees, cloudy skies, and the Meramec Course are a perfect recipe for a night full of stats! Let’s get to Week 4 by the numbers…

  • 13 – Cooters who shot under 40
  • 8 – Cooters who shot 40
  • 2 – teams that took all 10 points (TC & CO. and AALCO MFG.)
  • 1 – Cooter who recorded the first eagle of the season (CHRIS COLLINS with a 2 on #1)
  • 43.6 – the stroke average on the night was 43.6
  • 3 – number of strokes better than the previous best week (Week 1’s 46.6)
  • 2 – number of closest to the pin winners on the night with play back on one of the tracks with only 2 par-3s (GARRY BYRD and GREG GILLICK)
  • 35 – the low scratch score of the night (NICK KAUSCH)
  • 26 – the low net score of the night (RON SUDA-37 and RAY GILLICK-38)

  • 6 – the new number of members of the 200 Win Club after CHRIS POHRER got #200
  • 4,669 – the number of days it took CHRIS to join the elite club after the Iron Man himself, JEFF POHRER did it (about 12.8 years)

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS!

TC & CO. (Team 3) stayed on top of the standings after Week 4. There are now only 3 other teams within 10 points of First Place as they start to pull away from the pack a bit – quite the spread for so early in the season!

All of that leads up to the match of the week for Week 5 with LONGO BIGGS (Team 1) taking on HEYL FARMS (Team 10) for Cellar Rights…who’s going to bury the hatchet??

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: #3 sweepin’ – all 4 golfers by 1 stroke
THE BAD: #4 – all 4 golfers losing by 1 stroke
THE UGLY: trying to repeat as #1!
