#36 is officially underway as Coot’s guys battled the Meramec and the elements to kick off the season. But, nothing…nor rain, nor sleet, nor 30-mph winds…will keep Cooters down on the first night!
DID YOU KNOW? The 140th season for the Cardinals, the 88th edition of the Masters, and the 36th season for Coot Brown all started on the same day! WOW!
And, to be expected, the scores were up on the night as guys shake off the rust. Except…the low scratch score on the night, TYLER SOLLBERGER (37) and the low net score on the night, ROLAND LAURY (44/27) – HE’S BAAAAACK!
Two different teams recorded 8 points on the night, TC & CO. and PAUL THE PAINTER, to come roaring out of the gates in the standings.
The first closest to prizes of the season went to MATT GAGNEPAIN and RON SCHMITT!
Meanwhile, the guys on the Milestone Watch wasted no time making progress toward their respective Milestone Clubs. Leading the way was DAVE HEGGER getting #200 to be just the 5th Cooter to join the elite club!

RON SCHMITT is now right behind him with just 1 more win to go. JIM JOST III and TIM JOST are each 1 away from #100. Looks like it’s going to be an exciting season!
