A Hot Night…Especially For 2 Teams – Week 5 Recap

For the first time in 2022, Coot’s guys got together for some Tuesday golf after Week 5 had to be rescheduled due to weather on the originally-scheduled date. It wasn’t raining, but it was HOT with 92-degree temps & high humidity for the early-May round of play on the Prairie Course.

It was particularly “hot” for 2 teams specifically…

For the second time this season, we had a 10-point sweep and it happened by 2 teams: KENRICK’S MEATS over K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. and METRO ELECTRIC over HEYL FARMS.

That shook up the standings, but not enough to knock TC & CO. off their perch in the top spot. But, their lead is just 2.5 points over the aforementioned Team #2.

MATT HINES and JIM ROESCH each had the low scratch score on the night with their 37s. MATT JOST had the low net at 28 (40).

Closest to prizes were grabbed by GEORGE ERMOLD and CHRIS TUREK.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: “Nubby” shootin’ 37 with a win!
THE BAD: Jimmy “Roach Clip” shootin’ 37 with a loss!
THE UGLY: 20.5 points separate first and last place!

BRAIN FART! There was only 1 skin on the night – ROCKY ALBERTI went home $230 richer after his birdie on #1.

“See ya in 24 hours!”
