Hot Temps & Hot Scores – Week 16 Recap

A hundred degrees and not a cloud to be found on the Meramec…and Coot’s guys were even HOTTER!

How about 16 Cooters recording rounds under 40?
How about 5 guys UNDER par?

While it wasn’t the lowest league stroke average in Coot history (42.7, set on 6/2/11), it was the best of the season thus far at 43.4.

The low scratch score of the night was the previously-mentioned 35 shot by: TC, MIKE O’KANE, JOE JOE, JASON GILLICK, and TYLER SOLLBERGER.

The low net score was turned in by CHRIS WHITROCK who netted a 26 on his round of 41.

The cousins, JOE TUREK and STEVE TUREK grabbed the closest to prizes on the night. Meanwhile, on the Milestone Watch, JEFF POHRER is now just 4 wins away from establishing the 300 Club and JIM MARKUS is the newest member of the 100 Win Club!

CONGRATULATIONS JIM!

And talk about doing the “tighten up”…the top 4 teams got minimal points on the night. That allowed a total of 12 teams to be within 10 points of the top spot going into Week 17!

That brings us to the match of the week, next Thursday on the Prairie: Team #4 vs. Team #10! By the way, there were no skins on the night so next week’s skins will be worth $260+!

THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY:
THE GOOD: Lake entries are now cut off.
THE BAD: None to report.
THE UGLY: CD‘s car issues.

“STICK AROUND NEXT THURSDAY AFTER GOLF!”
