Almost A Stroke Average High – Week 17 Recap

It was 88 degrees but 100% humidity on the Priaries…apparently a recipe for high scoring.

A total of 18 Cooters carded a 50 or more, making for a night that flirted with a record high stroke average. The 47.1 stroke average was actually the second highest of the season, behind Week 1’s 47.3; both nights were better than June 3, 2010 when the stroke average was 48.08!

We’ve got a seesaw battle atop the standings between C.E.S. and METRO ELECTRIC. There are 5 other teams within 6 points as we come around the clubhouse turn with just 4 weeks left in season #38.

That leads us to the match of the week for Week 18 featuring C.E.S. & METRO ELECTRIC – go figure!

JOE JOE had the low scratch score of the night (37); TOMMY ANDERSON had the low net score (48/29). The closest to winners were JOHN GREFFET and TOM SIMON.

AND….for the 3rd time this season and 2nd week in a row, we have a new member of the 200 Win Club! MATT GAGNEPAIN became the 13th member of the illustrious club.

GARY SCHMIDT had a hard time finding a matching pair of shoes…you could understand a mismatched pair of socks…but tennis shoes???
