“Don’t Bug Me” – that’s all you need to know for the 38th edition of the Coot Brown Champions!
C.E.S. became the sixth team in Coot history to win two league titles. 19 different teams have won the 38 championships from 1987-2024.

In 2023, SOUTHSIDE MACHINE won the title with 8 players on their roster. C.E.S. did the same in 2024, becoming the fourth team to have a record-8 players on their championship-winning roster.
After the 2024 champs are added to the trophy, there will be 250 total names from 119 individual golfers representing the 38 years of league winners on the trophy! There are now 28 players who have won 2 league titles.
Week 22 is always a fun night of all play golf to end the season. GARY WILLIAMS and KYLE LONGO earned some “closest to” money. And, here were the shoot out winners on the night:

- A – Mel Stortzum
- B – Ron Suda
- C – Steve Turek
Speaking of the 2024 season, there were a total of 53,090 strokes counted on scorecards throughout the 21 weeks of scoring. The overall league stroke average was 45.5 strokes per night. Week 4 (4/25) was the lowest stroke average (43.6) and Week 1 (4/4/) was the highest (47.3). The total W-L-T record for the league was 548-533-87 (.507).

Despite the irony of a lawyer arguing against 37 years of precedence, the final 2024 season awards went to:
- Sandbagger: Brian Turek (-3.8)
- Best Record: Brett Miniex (6-1-1, .857)
- Sey Tuff Guy: George Ermold (0-12-2, .000)
And so, we turn our attention to season #39, which will kick off with the annual Winter Meeting on the Thursday after Super Bowl LIX: Thursday, February 13, 2025. Here’s the lineup for the 2025 season:
