After back-to-back rainouts for the first time in history, the 39th edition of the Coot Brown Golf League finally got started with no rain, go temps, and gusty winds on the Meramec.
The extra weeks seemed to help with scores as there were some good ones throughout. The stroke average on the first night of golf was 46.4, less than a full stroke over last year’s full season average of 45.5.
The low scratch score of the night was CORY NEWMAN‘S 35. DOUG BIGGS had the low net score of 28 (37). The closest to wins went to JASON GILLICK and JOHNY MEYER and the carryover skins pot was split up by DOUG BIGGS and MIKE O’KANE.
Those good scores helped K.G. ELECTRIC, INC. get all 10 points to start the season, the only team to sweep the first night of scoring. Good news: all teams are within 10 points of the top spot.
The Good…The Bad…The Ugly…
Good: 1st night of golf
Bad: Signature ID’s needed
Ugly: Team #13, 10 points behind the top spot
JOE JOE had a win on the Milestone Watch…be sure to keep your eyes on that list throughout the season.
