The second half of the 39th season started with 88-degree temps, lots of sunshine, and play on the Meramec. And, of course, it ended with TC & CO. on top. Can they do the sweep?
Let’s not crown them champs just yet – 3 other teams also got 8 points on the night and the top seven teams have at least 6 points after the first week of the second half.
Week 12 was definitely one of the lowest league stroke averages in quite a while. At an even 43.0, Week 12’s average is the lowest since the 43.3 average on Week 4 of the 2023 season and just .3 above the league record of 42.7 from June 2, 2011!
Leading the way on that near-record average was the 14 sub-40 cards turned in and another 4 right at 40. Additionally, KEVIN TYLER with the low scratch score of the night (35) and BOB DEGUNIA with the low net score of the night (28/36).
The closest to winners on the night were CHRIS TOCKSTEIN and CORY NEWMAN.
The Good…The Bad…The Ugly…
Good: TIM DOTSON drained a 90′ putt on #4, then chipped in a 90-yard wedge on #5.
Bad: (Ass) CHRIS TOCKSTEIN’s closest to on #6 – 3″.
Ugly: ELLIOT KITE on his way to Vegas with 4 other Cooters…you know the Vegas motto…it stays in Vegas (assuming he gets there…see pic below)!
