90 degrees & humid with no wind. But, Week 15 was on the Woodlands…and talk about a storybook night that won’t be able to fit on 1 page!
There were a lot of firsts on the night:
- Starting with THE TUREK BROTHERS back on top.
- Hole #1 converting to a par “3”.
- League stroke average (42.5) is a new all time low (beating the previous record of 42.7 from 6/2/11).
- GEORGE ERMOLD…we’ll get to that later.
- CHRIS COLLINS had the only skin of the night with a birdie on #3 with carryover from Tuesday’s rainout, worth $400!
Continuing with that excitement…there were 3 guys with the low net score of the night of 26: GARY SEYMOUR, PAUL HILLYARD, and TOM HEYL.
The low scratch score was CORY NEWMAN‘s 33 and MARK LANFERSIECK and MIKE O’KANE had the closest to prizes.
The Good…The Bad…The Ugly…
Good: to see “JOE JOE” back from surgery.
Bad: Hole #1 playing 78 yards.
Ugly: GEORGE ERMOLD’s first victory since August 2023.
“The Week 6 rainout/Week 6a rainout is set for TUESDAY, August 5th.”
