Let’s Play Two – Week 3 (Makeup) Recap

lets-play-two-baseball

It was a Freaky Friday rain makeup for Week 3 & it was more than a little weird.  As weird as hold #8 playing 220 yards or as weird as shooting a 68 like the pros (NOOOORM!).

AALCO MFG. (Team #8) continues to hold on to their season-long lead in the standings.  There are still, though, eight teams within 10 points, nipping at their heels at the midway mark of the first half.  Meanwhile, Quail Creek (Team #2), G & G Snow Plow (Team #9) & Paul the Painter (Team #11) are all planning for the second half.

Overall, scores are on the decline as the season heats up.  Kevin Oliver & Dan Bersett each shot a low-net-score of 29 on the night.  All the while, Marty Yanics continues to win and sits just one win away from the coveted 100 Win Club.  Greg Gillick earned career victory #145 on the night and joined the Milestone Watch as he nears #150.

THE GOOD – Back to your regularly scheduled Coot season!
THE BAD – Hangin’ out on the patio, eatin’ Gus’s!
THE UGLY – Not one second round Match Play result has been turned in.

Gary Schmidt & Nick Kausch earned the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night.  The match-up of the week for Week 6 will be Metro Electric (Team #6) against AALCO MFG. (Team #8); a clean sweep for Metro Electric would help them dethrone AALCO MFG. in the standings.

COOT SAYS: “GOOD TO SEE THE OLD MAN OF THE SEA BACK PLAYING COOT AGAIN!”
