Worse than the “nights the lights went out in Georgia”, Coot’s annual Summer Social: A Night at the Races was cut way short by a power outage at Fairmount Park.
Just before the 3rd race, there was a major transformer issue that cut power to the entire racetrack. After a delay, it was clear that power would not be restored on the night and the rest of the races were cancelled.
The worst part of the whole deal…missing the chance to see the famed horse, “K.O. the Man” run that 3rd race.
The going theory on the power outage: it was Kevin Oliver‘s fault!
