No Breathing Room Through 2 – Week 2 Recap

2015-week-2-closest-to-the-pinA clear & cool night…perfect for more Coot golf! A perfect night for C.E.S. to maintain their early-season hold on the top spot in the standings…but, with NO breathing room!

There are just two points separating first place (C.E.S.) and second place (AALCO MFG.) – so you can assume that we’re only at the beginning of a wild first-half ride.

Maybe it was the delayed start to the 2015 season, but Coot’s guys are off to a great start with seemingly no rust needing to be knocked off the clubs. There were a bunch of individuals that shot lights out on the second night.

CRAIG MORRIS had a low-net-score of 27 (41) on t he night. Meanwhile, seven others broke 40, led by DAVE “SMASH” SCHWEITZER with his 1-under-35.

Despite some unanticipated confusion, JEFF LAURY‘s eagle on #7 & DAVE SCHWEITZER‘s birdie on #5 led to a split pot on the skins. On the Milestone Watch, PAUL HILLYARD & MATT GAGNEPAIN each inched a win closer to their career milestone.

Here’s The Good, The Bad & The Ugly:

  • THE GOOD: LARRY MOELLERING – just 12 inches away from an ace on #3
  • THE BAD: RICK BRENNAN – just 7 inches away from an ace on #3
  • THE UGLY: The Hole-In-One pot in 2015 is worth more than $2,375!

RICK BRENNAN & DAN BERSETT each nabbed closest-to honors on Week 2.

The MATCH OF THE WEEK for Week 3 will feature an early-season standings battle between HEYL FARMS (third place) and C.E.S. (first place); the teams are separated by just 2.5 points!

COOT SAYS: “Please be aware of the cart distances away from the greens!”

As the course management tries to locate the fairway markers (which has been missing for quite some time), please respect cart distances away from the greens.
