As Hot As It Gets – Week 16 Recap

2013-hot-weatherIt was as hot as it gets on Week 16…and we’re not just talking about the weather!

Let’s start with JOE SONDERMAN – while en route to his 95th career victory and a spot on the Milestone Watch, Joe Joe shot an even-par-36.  Now that’s hot!

The standings were hot with action too!  HEYL FARMS remains on top with 40.5 points.  BROTHER JOHN is just 2 points behind in second place.

Yep…BROTHER JOHN took all 10 points from PAUL THE PAINTER, allowing them to make the biggest leap to go from fifth to second.  Meanwhile, thanks to that sweep, PAUL THE PAINTER made the biggest drop in the standings, going from sixth place to eleventh place.  (it was a short-lived celebration for PAUL THE PAINTER after taking 10 points on Week 15)

BRUCE THOMAS & ED WILLIAMS grabbed the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night.  Meanwhile, the Milestone Watch was quite active.  In addition to JOE SONDERMAN‘s addition to the list, JEFF LAURY (#97), CHRIS TUREK (#198) and JOHN WESTRICH (#96) all inched a step closer to their respective milestones.  BOB HAEGELE became the 40th member of the 100 Win Club with his big milestone victory on the night!

CONGRATULATIONS BOB!

Week 17’s match of the week will feature METRO ELECTRIC vs. HEYL FARMS.  METRO ELECTRIC is in sixth place but is less than 10 points out of the top spot currently occupied by HEYL FARMS.
