It’s official…the champions of the 30th season of the Coot Brown Golf League: JOEY B’S!
CONGRATULATIONS TO JOEY B’S!
It was a perfect night of weather to close out the 30th edition of the Coot Brown Golf League. Spirits were as nice as the weather as everyone was celebrating the end of what was another fun season of golf.
Congratulations to the guys of Team #5: GEORGE ERMOLD, NICK KAUSCH, RON SUDA, BOB TWITCHELL, ED WILLIAMS and GARY WILLIAMS!
Here are some updated stats about the league championship, now that the guys of JOEY B’S have won the title after defeating C.E.S. on the final night:
JOEY B’S became the 17th different team in the history of the league to win the title. Although, the members of the team were together for the 2009 championship when the team was named QUAIL CREEK. Therefore, this is the second championship for George, Nick, Ron, Bob, Ed & Gary, making the number of players to have won 2 league titles now 20.
With the addition of their names to the team trophy before the 2017 season, there will now be names for 96 different players on the trophy (including a typo for JOHN GREFFET in 1996) for a total of 192 players’ name listed, including duplicaAs mentioned last week, the lineup for next season (now finalized) will be:
