Southside Machine – First Half Champs – Week 11 Recap

85 degrees; windy; pleasant; and the first Position Round of 2018 – lots of fun for Week 11!

The Prairie course was back to herself though.  That, along with the windy conditions, yielded only 3 sub-40 rounds of golf.  Three guys carded a 39 on the night: LARRY MOELLERING, JOHN GREFFET, and TIM GARDNER.

JIM JOST & BOB DEGUNIA got the closest-to-the-pin awards on the night.  The only action on the Milestone Watch was the addition of JOHN COOPER after he got his 145th career victory.

But, the real story…the first half championship match between C.E.S. (Team 4) & SOUTHSIDE MACHINE (Team 5).  Despite having a hold on First Place since Week 3, C.E.S. fell on the night to SOUTHSIDE MACHINE.

CONGRATULATIONS SOUTHSIDE MACHINE!

A quick look back at The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:

  • THE GOOD: Rollover skins (3)…giving out $210 each!
  • THE BAD…SAD: the season’s half over.
  • THE UGLY: The neckties on C.E.S.

FYI – the rest of the year will be played from the blue & white tees!
