After a tumultuous weather start to 2017, Coot’s guys were greeted with another premier day for golf on The Prairie course for Week 3. Sunny skies and 75-degree temps made this Thursday night of golf extra special…but so did having 9 teams within 2 points of first place in the standings!
A couple of guys were ready for the nice weather. First was DAVE “SmashBurger” SCHWEITZER with the low-scratch round on the night with his 36. And…oh yea…a loss… Second was TIM JOST (27/41) with the low-net round on the night.
We had the third eagle of the young season already: KEVIN TYLER had a 3 on hole #9. We usually only turn out 2-3 eagles on an average season and we already have 3 in the first 3 weeks – watch out!
BOB TWITCHELL & MARK BALVAN grabbed the closest-to-the-pin honors on the night and LARRY MOELLERING got career victory #147 on the Milestone Watch.
There wasn’t much better than the weather on the night…but, here’s The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly for Week 3:
- THE GOOD: Good to see “LARKO” back on the prowl.
- THE BAD: No more “LARKO Specials”
- THE UGLY: Shots…as in shots in the clubhouse…bottoms up boys!
Week 4 will be the first of a few weeks in the season that will take place on a day that is NOT Thursday…be sure to show up on Wednesday, May 2nd! You won’t want to miss the feature match of the week as Team #1 (GILLICK BRICKWORK) takes on Team #7 (HEYL FARMS) in an alley fight for last place.
