Threatening Skies – Week 8 Recap

88 degrees.
A nice breeze.
Threatening skies.
NO RAIN.

The 2018 weather run-good continued through Week 8 as the rain held off throughout the night and let Coot’s guys do business on The Meramec.  The rain wasn’t the only thing that was off on the night though…C.E.S. finally had an off night of their own!

AALCO MFG. swept 10 points on the night and THE TUREK BROTHERS grabbed 9 points…and, suddenly, the race got a little tighter!  Now, there are 5 teams within 10 points of the top spot with just 3 weeks left in the first half.

Speaking of…the Match Up of the week for Week 9 (WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6TH) will pit the 2 hottest teams in the league right now: AALCO MFG. vs. THE TUREK BROTHERS.

On the individual front…we have another Milestone Achievement!  LARRY MOELLERING got his 150th victory on his Coot career and became the 15th member of that elite Milestone Club.

CONGRATULATIONS LARRY!

ELLIOT KITE and JIM JOST III had the lowest scratch scores on night (36).  The low-scratch-score of the night was carded by JUGGIE HINDUJA (26/45).

Here’s The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly of Week 8:

  • THE GOOD: TOMMY “SHORT PANTS’S” birthday!
  • THE BAD: DAVE HEGGER’S car damage on #2.
  • THE UGLY: TOMMY turning 60.
