A San Diego Type Day – Week 20 Recap

The last week of scoring took place on The Prairie course and it was truly a San Diego type of day!  Temps were in the 80s, humidity was low, and a cool “ocean” breeze greeted the guys.

A perfect setting for Week 20.

And now…the seeds are in for the Position Round on Coot’s first-ever 21st week…and it got even tighter after Week 20!  There are just 1.5 points separating the top two teams, SOUTHSIDE MACHINE and GILLICK BRICKWORK.  And, just 2 points back of them is HAEGELE NURSERY…and the 4th seed even has a chance, just 5 points back (JOEY B’S).

JOE SONDERMAN stole the show on the individual front, shooting a 1-under-par-35 on the night and grabbing one of the closest-to-the-pin awards of the round (JEFF LAURY got the other).  BOB TWITCHELL had the low net score of the night (29/39).

DENNIS BOWERS got #148; GARRY BYRD got #99; DOUG WERNER and TIM SARGENT GOT #13MARK LANFERSIECK & DAN BERSETT are still in control with one more night to solidify their season-end awards.

Here’s The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly from Week 20:

  • THE GOOD: JOE JOE‘s Daily Double – closest to and a skin!
  • THE BAD: $10 skins for next week.
  • THE UGLY: The ‘1099’ that JOE JOE will get served by the “Sheriff’s Department”.

An important reminder to all Cooters – Tapawingo National is NOT a BYOB course.  Please don’t bring anything onto the course.
