After seeing HAEGELE NURSERY do something they haven’t done in nearly 2 decades, Coot’s guys started off the new half on a sticky, 90-degree night of golf, played on a modified 9.
But, nonetheless, it went off with a bang!
C.E.S. grabbed all 10 points from GILLICK BRICKWORK, showing that C.E.S. is the team to beat this half. Only time will tell if they have those choking jitters like in recent years.
The low scratch scores on the night were carded by DAVE SCHWEITZER (34) and MEL STORTZUM (34). The low net scores of the night were carded by CHAD LARKOWSKI (30/36), STEVE TUREK (30/40), and BOB TWITCHELL (30/41).
Meanwhile, MIKE O’KANE won again, PAUL HILLYARD is still sandbagging, and ROLAND LAURY, DEREK STEPHENS, and STEVE MINIEX just can’t catch a break.
JIM JOST got a closest-to-the-pin and MEL STORTZUM got the other. GARY WILLIAMS grabbed #147.
All of that sets the stage for the match of the week for unlucky #13 with First Half Champs, HAEGELE NURSERY, going after C.E.S. after their strong start to the second half.
