Play was on The Woodlands and it was a hot & humid night after the front moved through. Not sure the weather mattered much though on a night that was pretty quiet as Coot’s guys were mostly focusing on the pending Lake trip!
There were very few changes in the standings with JOEY B’S still being on top and it’s going to be tough to overtake that top spot. Week 19 features the last place AALCO MFG. against JOEY B’S and second-to-last-place C.E.S. vs. second place HEYL FARMS…something’s gotta give!
DAVE SCHWEITZER (35) got the low scratch score of the night while ERIC POHRER (29/43) got the low net score. JOHN PERLONGO got one of the closest-to-the-pin prizes on the night…the other one escapes Coot’s memory at the time.
TIM GARDNER had an uncharacteristically-rough night…but, he’s still ahead of CD LONGO. In a day-after interview, Tim was quoted as saying: “I’m trying to crack the top 5…shooting a 42 ain’t gonna crack the top 5.”
“That’s the first 9 I’ve gotten in 15 years!”
–JOHN DAVIS (after his 9 on #4)
“I’m off to the Lake…see ya next Thursday!”
